FOR THE LOVE OF FAST MONEY

You've got to get the brand new novel "For the Love of Fast Money" by Wendall Shannon. The book's title--many may claim is the misnomer for our generation. Money, the root of all evil, the guiding philosophy for the "bling bling" era, has many caught up in the paper chase. No matter of one's current situation and state of mind, we've all been [by now] exposed to, witnessed or lived the reckless drama of fast money. "For the Love of Fast Money" is an addictive page turner, a well written adventure of Baltimore's west side streets. This fictional portrayal of the underworld strikes a realistic chord with the urban cycle of "making that dollar". For some, this book will give you a closer peek into the game and for others you'll swear you know the real life version of the book's characters Fast Money and Precious. This is an exciting and disturbing tale of Harm City and it doesn't stop here--I hear it's a sequel. I can't wait!

The Book

The game is something Fast Money plays with ease. He's an up-and-coming hustler making all the right moves in Baltimore because of a sweet New York connection. He's the talk of the town and everybody looking for opportunity wants a part of him.

Precious plays this game well. She's a beautiful woman whose never-ending passion is a hustler with cash. And then there are young followers with street potential like Tavon and his partner Juvenile.

Tavon has inherited a legacy from both parents. He wants to re-establish his family's image through Fast Money's leadership. Juvenil is right there to follow, but he has his daughter and her mother, Jameel, who wants him out of the life.
